Description:
Tigatel CH is an anti-epileptic medication, also called an anticonvulsant.
Tigatel CH is used to alone or in combination with other medications to treat partial seizures in adults and children who are at least 12 years old.
Tigatel CH may also be used for purposes other than those listed in this medication guide.
Uses / Indications:
Tigatel-CH Tablet is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms:
High blood pressure
Heart attack
Heart failure
Kidney failure in patients with diabetes
Hypertension
Edema
Interactions / Warnings:
Tigatel-CH 40 Tablet 10's should not be given to the people allergic to Tigatel-CH 40 Tablet 10's or any of its ingredients, have low blood pressure (less than 90 mm of Hg), have had a heart attack, kidney disease, liver disease, pregnant women, or planning to get pregnant and breastfeeding women. It should be used with caution in patients who have diabetes. Besides this, it is contraindicated in low blood pressure (hypotension), cardiogenic shock (sudden stopping of blood flow to the heart), and aortic stenosis (heart valve problem). Tigatel-CH 40 Tablet 10's can pass into breast milk, so before starting Tigatel-CH 40 Tablet 10's, either you need to stop nursing, or you should not take Tigatel-CH 40 Tablet 10's while breastfeeding. If you have anuria (non-passage of urine), please do not take Tigatel-CH 40 Tablet 10's as it is contra-indicated in it and may lead to further complications.
Side Effects:
Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

difficulty in concentrating or paying attention

Burning, numbness, or tingling sensations
clumsiness or unsteadiness
confusion
itching
mental depression
speech or language problems
Rare
Agitation
bloody or cloudy urine
burning, pain, or difficulty in urinating
frequent urge to urinate
generalized weakness
hostility
memory problems
quick to react or overreact emotionally
rash
uncontrolled back-and-forth and/or rolling eye movements
walking in unusual manner
Symptoms of overdose
Agitation (severe)
clumsiness or unsteadiness (severe)
coma
confusion (severe)
drowsiness (severe)
increase in seizures
mental depression
severe muscle twitching or jerking
sluggishness
speech problems (severe)
weakness
Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

Medicine interaction:
This medicine may have an interaction with medicines used to treat mood disorders (lithium), medicines used to treat heart disorders (digoxin), blood thinner (aspirin), antidiabetic medicines (metformin, insulin), medicines used to treat erectile dysfunction (sildenafil), medicines used to lower cholesterol levels (such as simvastatin), immunosuppressants (cyclosporine), and other anti-hypertensive medicines (atenolol, aliskiren, enalapril, lisinopril, ramipril, metoprolol), and (ibuprofen).
