Telminorm AM is a combination of medicines that may be used alone or with other medicines to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). High blood pressure adds to the workload of the heart and arteries. If it continues for a long time, the heart and arteries may not function properly. This can damage the blood vessels of the brain, heart, and kidneys, resulting in a stroke, heart failure, or kidney failure. Lowering blood pressure can reduce the risk of strokes and heart attacks. Telmisartan (Telminorm AM) is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). It works by blocking a substance in the body that causes blood vessels to tighten. As a result, the blood vessels relax and this decreases blood pressure. When blood pressure is lowered, the amount of blood and oxygen that go to the heart is increased. Amlodipine (Telminorm AM) is a calcium channel blocker (CCB). It affects the movement of calcium into the cells of the heart and blood vessels. As a result, Amlodipine (Telminorm AM) relaxes the blood vessels and increases the supply of blood and oxygen to the heart while reducing its workload. Telminorm AM is available only with your doctor's prescription.

Monitor your blood pressure levels regularly. If you are known to be allergic to Telminorm AM 40/5 Tablet 10's or have any kidney or liver problems or severe dehydration, please inform your doctor beforehand. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor before taking it. It is advised to complete the prescribed course, even if you feel better. Complete the course strictly as suggested by the doctor, even if you feel better, to avoid disease recurrence. Avoid consumption of alcohol with Telminorm AM 40/5 Tablet 10's as it may increase the risk of low blood pressure. Avoid potassium supplements with Telminorm AM 40/5 Tablet 10's as it may lead to high potassium levels in the blood.
