Description:

Tazloc is used alone or together with other medicines to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). High blood pressure adds to the workload of the heart and arteries. If it continues for a long time, the heart and arteries may not function properly. This can damage the blood vessels of the brain, heart, and kidneys, resulting in a stroke, heart failure, or kidney failure. Lowering blood pressure can reduce the risk of strokes and heart attacks. Tazloc is also used to lower the risk of heart attacks or stroke in patients 55 years of age and older who have diabetes or heart problems. Tazloc is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). It works by blocking a substance in the body that causes blood vessels to tighten. As a result, Tazloc relaxes the blood vessels. This lowers blood pressure and increases the supply of blood and oxygen to the heart. Tazloc is available only with your doctor's prescription.

Uses / Indications:

Tazloc 80 Tablet is used to treat high blood pressure. It is a prescription medicine. This medicine works by blocking the action of vasoconstrictor agent which are responsible for increasing the blood pressure, by selectively blocking the binding of angiotensin II to its binding site, angiotensin receptor. This medicine helps by reducing the increased blood pressure by exerting blocking actions on the angiotensin receptor. Tazloc 80 is also used to reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, or fatalities associated with heart failure in patients who are 55 years in age or older, who are at high risk of developing major heart damage events unable to take ACE blockers and patients with high blood sugar level (type 2 diabetes mellitus) with target organ damage. Tazloc 80 Tablet may also be taken in combination with other medicines to treat certain conditions as recommended by the doctor. Tazloc 80 Tablet is used together with Antiplatelet drugs, or lipid-lowering drugs to reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, or fatalities associated with heart failure in patients who are 55 years in age or older, who are at high risk of developing major heart damage events unable to take ACE blockers. Tazloc 80 is also used with hydorchlorthiazide, or other antihypertensives to treat high blood pressure.

Interactions / Warnings:

Tazloc-80 Tablet 10's is not recommended for people with impaired kidney function, diabetes or severe liver problems. Tazloc-80 Tablet 10's may increase the risk of low blood pressure when taken with alcohol. Tazloc-80 Tablet 10's may cause tiredness or dizziness in some people. Make sure you are not affected before driving. Breastfeeding women are advised to consult a doctor before taking Tazloc-80 Tablet 10's. Avoid intake of potassium supplements with Tazloc-80 Tablet 10's as it may lead to high potassium levels in the blood, so the doctor may ask you to have a regular check of your potassium level. Do not consume alcohol with Tazloc-80 Tablet 10's as it may increase the risk of low blood pressure. Taking Tazloc-80 Tablet 10's with painkillers (like aspirin and ibuprofen) can increase the risk of kidney problems and reduced efficiency of Tazloc-80 Tablet 10's.

Side Effects:

Signs of an allergic reaction to Tazloc: hives, difficult breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. In rare cases, Tazloc can cause a condition that results in the breakdown of skeletal muscle tissue, leading to kidney failure. Call your doctor right away if you have unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness especially if you also have fever, unusual tiredness, and dark colored urine. Also call your doctor at once if you have: a light-headed feeling, like you might pass out, little or no urinating, swelling, rapid weight gain or high potassium (slow heart rate, weak pulse, muscle weakness, tingly feeling). Common Tazloc side effects may include: stuffy nose, sinus pain, back pain or diarrhea.

Medicine interaction:

Tazloc-80 Tablet 10's may have interaction with pain killers (ibuprofen, aspirin), blood thinners (heparin), medicines used to treat heart problems (digoxin), high blood pressure-lowering medicines (lisinopril, enalapril, ramipril, benazepril, captopril, fosinopril, moexipril, perindopril, quinapril, trandolapril, enalaprilat, aliskiren), water pills (amiloride, spironolactone, triamterene), muscle relaxant (tizanidine), antibiotics (trimethoprim), and potassium supplements.
