Cilnidipine (Sartel-LN) (INN) is a calcium channel blocker. Cilnidipine (Sartel-LN) is the novel calcium antagonist accompanied with L-type and N-type calcium channel blocking function. It was jointly developed by Fuji Viscera Pharmaceutical Company, Japan and Ajinomoto, Japan and approved to come into market for the first time and used for high blood pressure treatment in 1995. Compared with other calcium antagonists, Cilnidipine (Sartel-LN) can act on the N-type calcium channel that existing sympathetic nerve end besides acting on L-type calcium channel that similar to most of the calcium antagonists. Cilnidipine (Sartel-LN) is approved for use in Japan, China,India, Korea and some European countries.

Sartel-LN 40 Tablet 10's should be taken with caution in patients with congestive heart failure, liver disease, peripheral oedema (swelling of hands/legs), cardiogenic shock (when heart suddenly can not pump sufficient blood), recent MI (myocardial infarction) or acute unstable angina (chest pain), severe aortic stenosis (when heart valves become diseased). You should monitor your blood pressure regularly to make sure the Sartel-LN 40 Tablet 10's is working efficiently. Besides this prolonged intake of Sartel-LN 40 Tablet 10's can lead to lowering of blood pressure (hypotension). So, daily monitoring of blood pressure is advisable.
