Rozavel Rozavel belongs to a a group of drugs called HMG CoA reductase inhibitors or statins Rozavel reduces levels of bad cholesterol low density lipoprotein or LDL and triglycerides in the blood while increasing levels of good cholesterol high density lipoprotein or HDL Rozavel is used in adults and children who are at least 8 years old to lower cholesterol and triglycerides types of fat in the blood and to slow the build up of plaque fatty deposits in your blood vessels Rozavel is also used to lower the risk of stroke heart attack and other heart complications in certain people with diabetes coronary heart disease or other risk factors Rozavel is also used to treat hereditary forms of high cholesterol including the heterozygous type inherited from one parent and the homozygous type inherited from both parents For the heterozygous type Rozavel can be used in children who are at least 8 years old For the homozygous type Rozavel can be used in children as young as 7 years old
Uses / Indications:
Rozavel 40 Tablet is used to decrease the amount of bad cholesterol low density lipoprotein LDL and triglycerides in the blood It is a prescription medicine This medicine works by slowing down the synthesis of cholesterol in the body This medicine helps by decreasing the amount of cholesterol that may build up on the walls of the arteries Rozavel 40 is also used to raise the amounts of good cholesterol high density lipoprotein HDL in the blood It is also used to decrease the amount of cholesterol fats and other fatty substances in the blood in children with age of 10 to 17 years who have familial heterozygous hypercholesterolemia an inherited condition in which cholesterol cannot be removed from the body Rozavel 40 is also used to treat a genetic condition characterized by increased levels of low density lipoprotein cholesterol in adults Homozygous Familial Hypercholesterolemia Rozavel 40 Tablet is also used to decrease the progression of the condition of the build up of fats fatty substances and cholesterol in the arteries of the heart atherosclerosis Rozavel 40 is also used to reduce the risk of stroke heart attack and surgical procedures to restore necessary blood flow to the heart muscles
Interactions / Warnings:
A prolonged intake of Rozavel 40 Tablet 10 s may cause muscular disorders like myopathy and rhabdomyolysis with kidney damage It is recommended that you should have a liver enzyme test regularly if you are regularly taking Rozavel 40 Tablet 10 s A person taking excess alcohol and affected with liver disease should consult a doctor before its intake Caution should be exercised if you are taking any blood thinner or anticoagulants like warfarin or coumarin At least 2 hours gap should be maintained between intake of Rozavel 40 Tablet 10 s and antacids like magnesium hydroxide and aluminum hydroxide Increases in HbA1c and fasting glucose levels can be observed if a person is regularly taking Rozavel 40 Tablet 10 s So you should tell the doctor before having these diabetes tests Patients with proteinuria protein in urine or haematuria blood in urine should tell the doctor before taking Rozavel 40 Tablet 10 s as it might require dose adjustment
