Rosulip (Rosulip) belongs to a a group of drugs called HMG CoA reductase inhibitors, or "statins." Rosulip reduces levels of "bad" cholesterol (low-density lipoprotein, or LDL) and triglycerides in the blood, while increasing levels of "good" cholesterol (high-density lipoprotein, or HDL). Rosulip is used in adults and children who are at least 8 years old to lower cholesterol and triglycerides (types of fat) in the blood and to slow the build-up of plaque (fatty deposits) in your blood vessels. Rosulip is also used to lower the risk of stroke, heart attack, and other heart complications in certain people with diabetes, coronary heart disease, or other risk factors. Rosulip is also used to treat hereditary forms of high cholesterol, including the heterozygous type (inherited from one parent) and the homozygous type (inherited from both parents). For the heterozygous type, Rosulip can be used in children who are at least 8 years old. For the homozygous type, Rosulip can be used in children as young as 7 years old.

A prolonged intake of Rosulip 20 Tablet 10's may cause muscular disorders like myopathy and rhabdomyolysis with kidney damage. It is recommended that you should have a liver enzyme test regularly if you are regularly taking Rosulip 20 Tablet 10's. A person taking excess alcohol and affected with liver disease should consult a doctor before its intake. Caution should be exercised if you are taking any blood thinner or anticoagulants like warfarin or coumarin. At least 2 hours gap should be maintained between intake of Rosulip 20 Tablet 10's and antacids like magnesium hydroxide and aluminum hydroxide. Increases in HbA1c and fasting glucose levels can be observed if a person is regularly taking Rosulip 20 Tablet 10's. So you should tell the doctor before having these diabetes tests. Patients with proteinuria (protein in urine) or haematuria (blood in urine) should tell the doctor before taking Rosulip 20 Tablet 10's, as it might require dose adjustment.
