Revelol-XL is a beta-adrenergic blocking agent (beta-blocker). It works by reducing the amount of work the heart has to do (reduces chest pain) and the amount of blood the heart pumps out (lowers high blood pressure). It is also used to stabilize the heart rhythm in conditions in which the heart is beating too fast or in an irregular rhythm. Treating high blood pressure, alone or with other medicines; long-term treatment of chest pain; and reducing the risk of death because of heart problems in patients who have had a heart attack. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.

Don't stop taking the medication without talking to your doctor first. Stopping Revelol-AM 25/5 Tablet 10's gradually may cause changes in your heart rhythm and blood pressure, cause chest pain, or a heart attack. Your doctor will lower your dose gradually over a period of time to help prevent these symptoms. Revelol-AM 25/5 Tablet 10's can cause low blood sugar (hypoglycaemia). This medication should be used with caution if you have diabetes, particularly if you are taking insulin or other diabetes drugs that may cause low blood sugar. This medication can also induce low blood sugar in babies, children and adults who do not have diabetes. Do not take Revelol-AM 25/5 Tablet 10's if you have asthma or similar breathing difficulties. It could make your asthma severe.
