Olmax 40 Tablet is a prescription medicine that is used for the short-term treatment of ulcers in the upper part of the small intestine (duodenal ulcer). This medicine works by preventing the amount of acid production in the stomach by blocking the organic enzyme system. This medicine helps by reducing the level of acid in the stomach. Olmax 40 Tablet is also used for the short-term treatment of stomach ulcer, to treat heartburn and indigestion caused by GERD, for the short-term treatment of inflammation of the food pipe, for the long-term treatment of overproduction of gastric acid (Zollinger-Ellison syndrome), for the long-term treatment of cancer of the endocrine gland, and for the long-term treatment of increase in the number of mast cells in the body (systemic mastocytosis). Olmax 40 Tablet may also be used along with other medicines in the treatment of certain conditions as recommended by the doctor. It is used with Clarinathromycin, or Amoxicillin to treat ulcers in the upper part of the small intestine called as duodenal ulcers. It is also used together with Clarinathromycin, or Metronidazole to remove Helicobacter pylori bacteria which leads to stomach ulcers.
