Metpure Xl 12 5 Tablet is used to treat certain heart conditions including high blood pressure heart attack and abnormal heart rhythm tachyarrhythmia This medicine is also used for the long term treatment of chest pain angina pectoris It is a prescription medicine This medicine works by relaxing blood vessels and reducing the heart rate to promote blood flow which further helps in lowering blood pressure Metpure Xl 12 5 is also used to prevent migraine Metpure Xl 12 5 Tablet may also be taken in combination with other medicines to treat certain conditions as recommended by the doctor Metpure Xl 12 5 Tablet is used together with other antihypertensive agents to treat high blood pressure This medicine works by relaxing blood vessels and reducing the heart rate to promote blood flow which further helps in lowering blood pressure

Signs of an allergic reaction to Metpure XL hives difficulty breathing swelling of your face lips tongue or throat Call your doctor at once if you have very slow heartbeats a light headed feeling like you might pass out shortness of breath even with mild exertion swelling rapid weight gain or cold feeling in your hands and feet Common Metpure XL side effects may include dizziness tired feeling confusion memory problems nightmares trouble sleeping diarrhea or mild itching or rash

When two or more medicines are taken together it can change how the medicines work and increase the risk of side effects In medical terms this is called as a Drug Interaction Metpure Xl 12 5 Tablet interacts with cytochrome P450 2D6 enzyme inhibitors When cytochrome P450 2D6 enzyme inhibitors fluoxetine paroxetine or bupropion thioridazine quinidine propafenone ritonavir antihistamines diphenhydramine hydroxychloroquine or quinidine terbinafine and cimetidine is used with Metpure Xl 12 5 may increase the level of Metpure Xl 12 5 in the blood It is advised to take necessary precautions while using Metpure Xl 12 5 and cytochrome P450 2D6 inhibitors in combination There may be an interaction of Metpure Xl 12 5 with anesthetics which are used to induce a state of sleepiness and or unconsciousness Some inhalation anesthetics may increase the heart depressive effects of Metpure Xl 12 5 Metpure Xl 12 5 Tablet may interact with catecholamine depleting drugs such as reSerpinane which is used to treat high blood pressure The use of Metpure Xl 12 5 with catecholamine depleting drugs may cause a spinning sensation fainting or low blood pressure due to standing up from a sitting or lying position Such patients should be closely monitored for low blood pressure or slow heartbeat
