Uses / Indications:

Met Xl am 25 2 5 Tablet is used to treat certain heart conditions including high blood pressure heart attack and abnormal heart rhythm tachyarrhythmia This medicine is also used for the long term treatment of chest pain angina pectoris It is a prescription medicine This medicine works by relaxing blood vessels and reducing the heart rate to promote blood flow which further helps in lowering blood pressure Met Xl am 25 2 5 is also used to prevent migraine Met Xl am 25 2 5 Tablet may also be taken in combination with other medicines to treat certain conditions as recommended by the doctor Met Xl am 25 2 5 Tablet is used together with other antihypertensive agents to treat high blood pressure This medicine works by relaxing blood vessels and reducing the heart rate to promote blood flow which further helps in lowering blood pressure

Interactions / Warnings:

Don t stop taking Met Xl am 25 2 5 Tablet 20 s without talking to your doctor first Stopping Met Xl am 25 2 5 Tablet 20 s gradually may cause changes in your heart rhythm and blood pressure cause chest pain or a heart attack Your doctor will lower your dose gradually over a period of time to help prevent these symptoms You should not use Met Xl am 25 2 5 Tablet 20 s if you have very slow heartbeat serious lung condition like asthma serious heart condition sick sinus syndrome or any heart blockage It should not be given to the children less than 12 years of age Before taking Met Xl am 25 2 5 Tablet 20 s you should tell doctor if you have any muscle disorder myasthenia gravis rhabdomyolysis breathing problem COPD bronchitis emphysema low blood sugar level hypoglycaemia low blood pressure hypotension depression previous heart failure liver kidney disease thyroid hormone disorder like overActive thyroid hyperthyroidism adrenal gland cancer or severe blood circulation problem Raynaud s syndrome

When two or more medicines are taken together it can change how the medicines work and increase the risk of side effects In medical terms this is called as a Drug Interaction Met Xl am 25 2 5 Tablet interacts with cytochrome P450 2D6 enzyme inhibitors When cytochrome P450 2D6 enzyme inhibitors fluoxetine paroxetine or bupropion thioridazine quinidine propafenone ritonavir antihistamines diphenhydramine hydroxychloroquine or quinidine terbinafine and cimetidine is used with Met Xl am 25 2 5 may increase the level of Met Xl am 25 2 5 in the blood It is advised to take necessary precautions while using Met Xl am 25 2 5 and cytochrome P450 2D6 inhibitors in combination There may be an interaction of Met Xl am 25 2 5 with anesthetics which are used to induce a state of sleepiness and or unconsciousness Some inhalation anesthetics may increase the heart depressive effects of Met Xl am 25 2 5
