Description:

Losanorm 50mg Tablet belongs to the therapeutic classification of Angiotensin II Receptor Blockers. The primary composition for this medicine is Losartan 50 MG.

Uses / Indications:

Losanorm-50 Tablet is a prescription medicine that is used to treat high blood pressure. This medicine works by preventing the Activity of certain natural substances that tighten the blood vessels. This medicine helps by making blood flowing smoothly and the heart to pump more effectively. Losanorm-50 Tablet is also used to reduce the risk of stroke in high blood pressure patients with an enlarged heart, and to treat kidney damage due to diabetes. Losanorm-50 Tablet may also be used along with other medicines in the treatment of certain conditions as recommended by the doctor. It is used with Hydrochlorothiazide to reduce the risk of stroke in high blood pressure patients with an enlarged heart.

Interactions / Warnings:

If you have diabetes, kidney or liver problems, please inform your doctor before taking Losanorm-50 Tablet 10's. Losanorm-50 Tablet 10's is not recommended for pregnant women especially in second and third trimesters as it may cause serious harm to the unborn baby (fetus). Therefore, pregnant or breastfeeding women are advised to consult a doctor before taking Losanorm-50 Tablet 10's. Do not consume alcohol with Losanorm-50 Tablet 10's as it may increase the risk of low blood pressure. Avoid potassium supplements with Losanorm-50 Tablet 10's as it may lead to high potassium levels in blood. Regular blood tests and blood pressure monitoring are recommended while taking Losanorm-50 Tablet 10's.

Side Effects:

Feeling dizzy. Rise slowly over a few minutes when sitting or lying down. Be careful climbing. High potassium level. Signs include feeling weak, lightheaded, dizzy, feel like passing out, or have numbness or tingling. Loose stools (diarrhea). Cough. Kidney function that gets worse.

Medicine interaction:

Losanorm-50 Tablet 10's may have interaction with pain killers (ibuprofen, aspirin), high blood pressure lowering medicines (lisinopril, enalapril, ramipril, benazepril, captopril, fosinopril, moexipril, perindopril, quinapril, trandolapril, enalaprilat, aliskiren), water pills (amiloride, spironolactone, triamterene), blood thinners (heparin), muscle relaxant (tizanidine), antibiotics (trimethoprim), and potassium supplements.
