This can damage the blood vessels of the brain, heart, and kidneys, resulting in a stroke, heart failure, or kidney failure. A lower blood pressure can reduce the risk of strokes and heart attacks. Kimet XL is also used to treat severe chest pain (angina) and lowers the risk of repeated heart attacks. It is given to people who have already had a heart attack. In addition, Kimet XL is used to treat patients with heart failure. Kimet XL is a beta-blocker. It works by affecting the response to nerve impulses in certain parts of the body, like the heart. As a result, the heart beats slower and decreases the blood pressure. When the blood pressure is lowered, the amount of blood and oxygen is increased to the heart. Kimet XL is available only with your doctor's prescription.

Don't stop taking KIMET XL 25MG TABLET without talking to your doctor first. Stopping KIMET XL 25MG TABLET gradually may cause changes in your heart rhythm and blood pressure, cause chest pain, or a heart attack. Your doctor will lower your dose gradually over a period of time to help prevent these symptoms. You should not use KIMET XL 25MG TABLET if you have very slow heartbeat, serious lung condition (like asthma), serious heart condition (sick sinus syndrome), or any heart blockage. It should not be given to the children less than 12 years of age. Before taking KIMET XL 25MG TABLET you should tell doctor if you have any muscle disorder (myasthenia gravis, rhabdomyolysis), breathing problem (COPD, bronchitis, emphysema), low blood sugar level (hypoglycaemia), low blood pressure (hypotension), depression, previous heart failure, liver/kidney disease, thyroid hormone disorder like overActive thyroid (hyperthyroidism), adrenal gland cancer, or severe blood circulation problem (Raynaud’s syndrome).
