Gtn Sorbitrate-CR Injection is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) during surgery or to control congestive heart failure in patients who have had a heart attack. It may also be used to produce hypotension (low blood pressure) during surgery. Gtn Sorbitrate-CR Injection is sometimes used to treat angina (chest pain) in patients who have been treated with other medicines that did not work well. Gtn Sorbitrate-CR belongs to the group of medicines called nitrates. It works by relaxing the blood vessels and increasing the supply of blood and oxygen to the heart while reducing its work load. Gtn Sorbitrate-CR is to be given only by or under the direct supervision of your doctor.

Do not take GTN Sorbitrate-CR 2.6 Tablet 30's if you are allergic to nitrates or any of its ingredients. Inform your doctor about all other OTC medications, vitamins, nutritional supplements, and herbal products you are taking or plan to take. If you have a kidney, drink or have ever consumed large amounts of alcohol, have anaemia, or have a heart attack. GTN Sorbitrate-CR 2.6 Tablet 30's should be taken with caution and only if a doctor prescribes you. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or are breastfeeding before starting GTN Sorbitrate-CR 2.6 Tablet 30's as a dose adjustment may be required if benefits outweigh the harm. GTN Sorbitrate-CR 2.6 Tablet 30's may cause dizziness, light-headedness, and fainting when you get up too quickly from a lying position, especially when you start taking GTN Sorbitrate-CR 2.6 Tablet 30's so please get up gradually.
