Spironolactone (Dytor Plus) is used in combination with other medicines to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and heart failure. Lowering blood pressure can reduce the risk of strokes and heart attacks. Spironolactone (Dytor Plus) is also used to diagnose and treat hyperaldosteronism, a condition in which the adrenal gland produces too much hormone called aldosterone. Spironolactone (Dytor Plus) may also be used to treat fluid retention (edema) in patients with congestive heart failure, liver cirrhosis, or a kidney disorder called nephrotic syndrome. Spironolactone (Dytor Plus) is a potassium-sparing diuretic (water pill). It prevents your body from absorbing too much salt and keeps your potassium levels from getting too low. Spironolactone (Dytor Plus) is also used to treat or prevent hypokalemia (low potassium levels in the blood).

Dytor Plus 5 Tablet 15's should not be given to the people allergic to Dytor Plus 5 Tablet 15's, have low blood pressure (less than 90 mm of Hg), have had a heart attack, kidney disease (with creatinine clearance less than 30 mL/min), liver disease, pregnant women, or planning to get pregnant and breastfeeding women. Besides this, it is contraindicated in low blood pressure (hypotension), cardiogenic shock (sudden stopping of blood flow to the heart), and aortic stenosis (heart valve problem). Dytor Plus 5 Tablet 15's can pass into breast milk, but its effect on the baby is unknown, so it is better to tell your doctor if you are taking Dytor Plus 5 Tablet 15's and breastfeeding. Dehydration with electrolyte and acid-base disturbances must be corrected before using Dytor Plus 5 Tablet 15's. Do not take any extra potassium supplements or potassium-rich foods such as bananas and broccoli with Dytor Plus 5 Tablet 15's, as it may lead to an excessive increase in blood potassium level (hyperkalemia). Please take Dytor Plus 5 Tablet 15's at least 4 hours before sleeping to avoid frequent urination at night.
