Description:
Dytor (rINN) or torsemide (USAN) is a pyridine-sulfonylurea type loop diuretic mainly used in the management of edema associated with congestive heart failure. It is also used at low doses for the management of hypertension. It is marketed under the brand name Demadex.

Interactions / Warnings:
Dytor 100 Tablet 10's should not be given to the people allergic to Dytor 100 Tablet 10's or any other medicine in the past, have low blood pressure (less than 90 mm of Hg), have had a heart attack, kidney disease, liver disease, diabetes, pregnant women, or planning to get pregnant and breastfeeding women. Besides this, it is contraindicated in low blood pressure (hypotension), cardiogenic shock (sudden stopping of blood flow to the heart), and aortic stenosis (heart valve problem). Dytor 100 Tablet 10's can pass into breast milk, but its effect on the baby is not known. So, it is better to tell your doctor if you are taking Dytor 100 Tablet 10's and breastfeeding.
Side Effects:
Dizziness, lightheadedness, headache, blurred vision, loss of appetite, stomach upset, diarrhea, or constipation may occur as your body adjusts to the medication. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor or pharmacist promptly. This medication may lead to excessive loss of body water and minerals (including potassium). Tell your doctor immediately if you have any of these unlikely but serious symptoms of dehydration or mineral loss: muscle cramps or weakness, confusion, severe dizziness, drowsiness, unusual dry mouth or thirst, Nausea or vomiting, fast/irregular heartbeat, unusual decrease in the amount of urine, fainting, seizures. Tell your doctor immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: chest pain, numbness/tingling of the arms/legs, ringing in the ears, hearing loss, decreased sexual ability. Tell your doctor immediately if any of these highly unlikely but very serious side effects occur: signs of infection (e.g. fever, persistent sore throat), easy bleeding or bruising, stomach/abdominal pain, persistent Nausea/vomiting, yellowing of eyes/skin. A serious allergic reaction to this drug is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of a serious allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Medicine interaction:
Dytor 100 Tablet 10's may interact with medicines to treat irregular heartbeats such as amiodarone, digoxin, disopyramide, flecainide, and sotalol), medicines that can change the level of potassium in your blood, such as potassium supplements, steroids, or other diuretics, medicines used to treat mental health problems, such as amisulpride, lithium, pimozide, and risperidone, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs () known as painkillers including diclofenac, ibuprofen and naproxen, medicines that treat high blood pressure, and medicine used to treat ulcers called sucralfate.
