Lezyncet is an antihistamine that reduces the effects of natural chemical histamine in the body. Histamine can produce symptoms of sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and runny nose. Lezyncet is used to treat symptoms of year-round (perennial) allergies in adults and children who are at least 6 months old. It is also used to treat symptoms of seasonal allergies in adults and children who are at least 2 years old. Lezyncet is also used to treat itching and swelling caused by chronic urticaria (hives) in adults and children who are at least 6 months old. Lezyncet may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding. If you become pregnant while taking Lezyncet Tablet 10's, consult your doctor. If you have kidney problems, dose adjustment might be required; the doctor will do it depending upon your disease's condition. Please inform your doctor if you have a problem passing urine and have epilepsy (fits) before starting Lezyncet Tablet 10's. If you are supposed to undergo skin testing, the doctor might advise you to stop taking Lezyncet Tablet 10's 72 hours before the test as it decreases response to skin prick test. Patients should be cautioned against getting engaged in the work which required too much mental alertness like operating machinery or driving a motor vehicle after intake of Lezyncet Tablet 10's. Concurrent use of Lezyncet Tablet 10's with alcohol or other antidepressants should be avoided as it can reduce your mental alertness. Cetirizine can also be taken under medical supervision by children aged 1 year and older. Patients should avoid taking overdosage of Lezyncet Tablet 10's because of the increased risk of sleepiness and drowsiness at higher doses.
